1st Day Of The Traditional Summer Vacation In 2023
June 2023 has begun with a whimper.
Summer Vacations have descended over the schools and its fraternity.
I don't have any major plan to visit a long cherished destination to prove myself as a globetrotter.
Glocal has become a catchword in my living dreams.
A number of things become friends in my free time. It's really a leisure time for me as I'm far away from my daily routine.
Things go haywire when you don't have a proper timing for the day ahead.
Today, I'm attending to my mother who is awaiting surgery for her fractured leg in a Medical College.
It seems this injury was waiting for me. Kudos to the Almighty's plan. My mother is a courageous and ironed lady like almost all mothers. I said 'almost' because some mothers are born to bully(my emphasis). But my mother has surpassed all odds to look traditional.
I'm trying to prove myself as a devoted Son in this Kaliyuga by standing by mother's side in this crucial time.
Nonetheless I am duty bound to take care of her as she pampered me in my Huggies Days. Some western so-called can call it Quid Pro Quo.
But Indiannes is totally different from their perspective.
In the morning my eyes opened on the patient's bed as I happened to get a sleeping place over there. I did have a very heavenly sleep in the trauma ward last night!
I didn't mind. I didn't have any choice. It's a human predicament everywhere to dream of something and to receive another.
The ecosystem here is very chaotic. I'm on the 5th floor meant only for orthopedic patients.
Patients of various fates find a heavenly place here with any of their limbs fractured or skin bruised.
I could pass my time amidst the thousands of OPD and IPD patients and visiting family members and relatives and other medical fraternity.
So I decided to stroll in the surrounding market and park meant for the purpose. I took to the lift. Almost half the lifts were waiting for their repairs or I can say frankly, their SURGERY.
I saw people of a whole spectrum in the grand building. Some happy looking people too were there for treatment. People feel pleased with placebo also as I concluded with their conditions. They have a skeptical persona. They are cheerful in the queue to the registration counter.
I went to fetch some chilled water as the day ascended with some heat and humidity. The water coolers in different corners of the hospital were in their different social conditions. Some were working. Others just stand as mannequins.
There is a residential nursing and medical training college nearby within the Medical College.
I was amazed to see the western looking Desi students giggling around the hordes of visiting patients just to show off that the former are hardwired to look elated to pacify the laters.
I didn't mind as I couldn't be a judge or a critic in such a hybrid world. I was loitering in the pathways to the market, to the parks, to the parking, and to the hospital canteen.
What a boring Day, dude!
Then I decided to return home to have a peaceful environment in my room and strategize for the upcoming Free Days Ahead. By the way, strategies never work in my case.
I went to the parking lot to mount my bike. My bike is my only intimate machine friend to sail me over the long distance places when I long to have a scenic life in the Vistas of my Life.
